Research Outline

Our research goal is to discover the novel efficacies of Kampo formula and plants produced in Toyama from a viewpoint of lipid metabolism. Special interests of us are on the modulation of bile acid metabolism during cholestasis and on the preventions of fat depletion and muscle wasting during cancer cachexia. Followings are ongoing research projects.

Mechanistic elucidation of the prevention of cholestasis by Kampo formula through the modulation of bile acid metabolism

2) Preventive effects of Egoma on fat depletion and muscle wasting during the experimentally induced cancer cachexia
