Outline of the research
My research sits at the interface of chemistry and biology, focusing on the discovery of bioactive natural products from medicinal plants worldwide. By employing advanced analytical techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and a combination of in vitro and in vivo biological assays, I aim to identify novel compounds with therapeutic potential. My current work targets the adaptive mechanisms of cancer cells, including their ability to metastasize, survive in hostile microenvironments, evade immune surveillance, adaptation to nutrient deprivation, regulate autophagy, and thrive under hypoxic conditions. Through experimentation, I strive to develop next-generation anticancer agents that are potent and mechanistically distinct therapeutics that not only suppress tumor progression, but also redefine strategies for overcoming cancer resistance.
Thoughts on research
I dive into my research with a smile, trusting that hard work and a steady spirit can uncover something truly good for people everywhere
