Division of International Cooperative Research

Outline of the research

Despite significant progress in the modern western medicine, many diseases have still no appropriate therapy. So there are great expectations for the research outcomes and clinical effects. It requires the current methodologies and the exchange of information about traditional medicines to maintain and develop the researches on traditional medicine at a high level.

In order to facilitate the development of joint scientific programs and research activities, the Institute Natural Medicine has established International Cooperative Center (ICC) in 3 universities of 3 countries, and has made academic exchange and cooperation agreements with 16 foreign institutions of 9 countries. So this division is designed to promote the international cooperative researches integrating the traditional medicine in the modern medicine in collaboration with researchers of multilateral universities and institutions.

This division makes efforts to (1) promote the international collaborations with International Cooperative Center (University of Toyama and Faculty of pharmaceutical sciences, Chulalonglorn University) and/or International Cooperative Center for Researches on Medicinal Resources (University of Toyama and Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University), (2) maintain and develop the international collaborations through Joint Symposium and researcher and/or students exchange with international institutions having agreement on academic exchange and cooperation.
