Outline of the research
This center will continue the kampo treatment founded on Kampo diagnosis (SHO) and will carry on the tradition of its usefulness. Furthermore, this center will gather clinical data with kampo treatment and will contribute to create a large-scale database and to clarify the indications of kampo formulations.
1) Research on the externalization of pathological conditions and clinical findings in Kampo medicine
2) Research on improvement effects of kampo formulations on insomnia
3) Comparative research between diagnosis on traditional Chinese medicine and diagnosis on kampo medicine
In addition, this center will clarify the clinical problems through basic research.
1) Research on the action mechanism of kampo formulations
2) Research on the effect of modification of kampo formulations on their pharmacological effects
3) Research on the effect of combination with western medicine on the effect of Kampo formulation
